Artist Statement

My most personal work is focusing on black and white portraiture directed on the idea of losing our innocence from childhood, and being forced into society to work a nine to five job to be considered successful. Throughout my teen years I was forced into this environment to support my education. I was required to give up my childhood imagination, and replace it with responsibilities like: labor, working minimum wage, being put on overtime, dealing with nasty customers etc.
